More U.S. Intelligence and media fake news.

SINCE WHEN DO THE TALIBAN NEED TO BE PAID TO KILL AMERICANS?

COMMON SENSE TELLS US THIS IS A BULLSHIT STORY

So, the big scandal now revealed by unnamed anonymous intelligence sources and reported by the New York Times is that Russia offered bounties to Taliban fighters to kill Americans. Most Taliban fighters have been willing to kill Americans at any opportunity, for the last 16 years, for free.

So, now that the U.S. troops are being reduced and Trump has voiced his desire to withdraw all troops for Afghanistan the Russians have decided they need to pay people to kill Americans. What is the motive? These sources claim that it is to hasten U.S. withdrawal. Do we believe that Russia is anxious to re insert their troops into Afghanistan, after their ten years of conflict there?  In fact, the deaths of some Americans by the Taliban has slowed our withdrawal. There really is no motive for Russia to get involved in Afghanistan.

This is another story by the New York times created by an anonymous unnamed source in the intelligence community. This is a repeat of the pattern of leaking a story, which is then run as fact, and the rest of media  increase its credibility by joining in the story.

We remember Vidman and  Ciaramella, intelligence operatives who leaked embellished stories,  likely at the direction of some other superior intelligence operative. What is the likely real motive around this story. First, the intelligence community is opposed to withdrawal of troops from the Middle East. We have removed all troops from Syria, have reduced troop levels in Iraq and Afghanistan and voiced the desire to withdraw all troops from the Middle East. This is a reversal of the U.S. policy of the last 30 years, a policy that has cost us Trillions of dollars, thousands of U.S. lives, hundreds of thousands of civilian casualties and caused a refuge migration out of the Middle East on a level not seen since WW2. It has not only destabilized the Middle East, but much of Europe. This is the policy that some would do anything to continue, even if it requires the take down of an American president.

This story is likely a fabrication that could have started as a lower level intelligence report and then eventually leaked to the media. The plan is to forestall any removal of troops from Afghanistan before the election by insinuating that is more collaboration by Trump with the Russians.

The media and the democrats, of course, are willing to beat this drum until November, as long that they believe it will damage Trump. Their motive is power, now the best interests of the country.
