Why not create new jobs before destroying old jobs.

THE DOWNWARD ECONOMIC SPIRAL HAS ALREADY BEGUN

REMEMBER WHEN POLITICIANS PROMISED THE NEW HIGH TECH JOBS THAT WOULD REPLACE THE OLD MANUFACTURING JOBS?

I guess they feel that after 30 years, the old lie will work again. In the 1990's we were told not to worry, all those manufacturing jobs that are going to be destroyed by trade deals that were designed to equalize living standards around the world would be replaced with new higher paying hi-tech jobs. It was a lie then and promising hi-tech green jobs is a lie now.

If they really believe they can replace oil and gas jobs with hi-tech green jobs, why don't they do it now? Why destroy jobs and living standards, make the country dependent on foreign resources and lower the standard living of all Americans? They promise after all that destruction, to provide new green jobs as a replacement. It is the big lie all over again. Are Americans workers going to fall for this same story again.

I for one believe that fossil fuels likely will reach a point were they will  need to be replaced by some sort of cleaner and more reliable energy source. I do not believe that there is an infinite supply of fossil fuels. I also believe cluttering up the landscape with windmills and solar panels is not a real viable alternative.

We often hear the phrase that we need to rely on science, except when it interferes with a political and socialist agenda.

I also believe engaging on a path of economic and social destruction is not going to be the best way to replace these energy sources.

It is a fact, that if the U.S. would eliminate all our carbon emissions it would not make any difference in global warming.  Our economic suicide would not reverse this trend while China, India and others will replace our regulated industries with truly dirty unregulated industries.

If we destroy our fossil fuel industry without having a replacement ready to go, we will move more of our economic wealth to China and other countries. They will inevitably be the producers of these green jobs. A new energy source that is going to be unreliable and insufficient. Just look at how many sunny days we have had in Pennsylvania the last 60 days. Either these people are just plain stupid or they have another agenda, I fear it is the latter.

Americans should insist that if we are going to replace fossil fuels, we need to come up with a viable solution before we scrap the existing system. If not, we can expect a huge decline in our economic and personal well-being, all for a false promise that they know is a lie.
