END OF CLINTON ERA
TRUMP AND AMERICA WINS
END OF FUNDAMENTAL TRANSFORMATION
Donald Trump took on the Republican establishment, the Democratic establishment, the Washington cartel and the biased corrupt media and prevailed. He has proved to be the toughest, most determined political candidate we have seen. Did his followers gather their strength and determination from him or did he gather it from his supporters? I think it was a joint effort from the beginning with Trump voicing the concerns of much of America. He was not the source of the movement but he did become the leader and champion of the movement.
He and his supporters withstood the psychological warfare waged against them. They were labeled, racist, bigots, xenophobes, white trailer park trash, and uneducated, by the media from the mainstream to bottom feeding bloggers. It was an organized plan to humiliate and embarrass anyone who would dare support Trump. While the unpolished Trump made mistakes and often got side tracked, he was able to grow and gain poise by on the job training. He grew as a politician and a man by his experience with the American people. It was an unprecedented combination of a message tailored for the times and a grass roots unorganized ground effort that consisted in yard signs paid for by the supporters themselves and distributed by individuals who knew the supporters needed to know they were not alone, to give them confidence, that together they could overcome the biased media and change the direction of the country. This combined with a word of mouth ground campaign that was spontaneous and very effective. Trumps use of rallies reinforced the enthusiasm of his supporters and spread it to the whole nation. It was a spontaneous political campaign, not understood by the Washington elites, that was able to bypass the propaganda of the biased media.
A word of praise to Rence Preibus, who should be awarded a medal, who withstood the pressure of the establishment to sabotage Trump, who did the right thing and supported the winning candidate of the party.
Shame on those republican never Trumpers, who purposely attempted to sabotage the Trump campaign, who put themselves before the best interest of the nation and their party, who risked the makeup of the supreme court for decades. They will not be forgotten.
On the local political level, a word of praise for Lee Snover and all the dedicated members of the Northampton county republican party, who worked for months, and delivered victories for all the republicans in their county. They received personal praise from the Trump campaign, recognized by the state committee as an example of what is possible by unselfish unpaid organized volunteers.
This spells the end of the Clinton era, we may talk more about this later.
While many say that Obama is now the leader of the Democratic party, I suspect on examining the results of his policies the Democrats themselves will realize his policies have cost them most state Governorships, the state houses in the majorities of states, the U.S. house, the U.S senate and now the Presidency. While he seems to be personally well liked, they need a new crop of leaders for the future. Like many career politicians, some who we know locally, they have strayed from their roots of supporting the working men and women of the country. They have become the agents of special interests and social engineering. It will be interesting to see if they are able to adapt to a policy that embraces the whole America, rather than a collection of fragmented pieces.
It is a wonderful thing to watch the success of the American experiment with self government. Most people are not political activists, they just want to live their life and secure opportunities for themselves and their children. Most just want to be left alone, not subjected to increasing taxes, regulation, and intrusion into every aspect of their life. Every so often they rise up and say enough. This is one of those times. It would be wonderful if that is all that would be needed, but this may be a great battle victory, but not the end of the war.
