The House Intelligence committee report.

COMMITTEE REPORT CONCERNING FOREIGN INTELLIGENCE SURVEILLANCE ACT

JUST A PEAK INTO THE SPECIAL INVESTIGATION

The House report was made public on Feb. 2, 2018, after weeks of speculation and attempts to bar the release of the the House Intelligence committees report.

This report was only focused on the activities of the FBI and Department of Justice concerning the  application for secret surveillance on associates of the Trump campaign during the campaign and during the transition after the election. It is just a view of a very small part of the investigation into the possible Russian interference into the 2016 election. The full text of this report can be seen at the below link.

This  report has now set into motion a series of events that will call for the full disclosure of the application to the FISA court for the approval of the surveillance. This is the only way that this matter can be evaluated by the citizens of the country.

It took the House committee almost a year to acquire the release by the FBI and the Justice department of the documents that were used as source material for this document. The actual application was viewed only by Mr Goudy and Mr. Sciff. There was lots of declarations of the end of national security and irreparable harm if this information was to be made public. Harm to who? There is nothing in this document that will damage anyone except those who have not followed the law, both in letter and spirit.

The Democrats are now in the process of releasing their version of the documents viewed. There is only one solution, much of the underlying source material needs to made public. This way we can all view and make our own decisions as to what is true.

The report claims that the FBI used a document, the Steel dossier, to use as probable cause for surveillance of the Trump campaign. This was done while they knew and acknowledged that this dossier was paid for by the Clinton Campaign and was not verified as to its accuracy. This would be a serious abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

There are of course other charges in this document and it should be noted that the Senate committee has sent a criminal referral to the Department of Justice and FBI concerning Christopher Steele, who was an ex British intelligence officer, an FBI informant and worked for Fusion GPS, who was hired by the Clinton campaign to find damaging information on the Trump campaign.

It seems the Clinton Campaign paid up to $10 million to Fusion GPS, the information much of which has been disproved and some that cannot be verified was then leaked to news media and then the FBI used the news stories as well as the dossier itself for probable cause for a surveillance warrant. This is referred to a circular reporting.

With the release of this report, it can no longer be hidden and covered up. the revelations will continue concerning the FBI, The department of Justice, the State department and the Obama administration.
