Democrats rigging Pennsylvania elections.

IF YOU CANT WIN WITHIN THE RULES , CHANGE THE RULES

IMPEACHMENT OF TRUMP IS THE THE REAL GOAL

The Democratic Pennsylvania supreme court recently overstepped its authority and changed the boundaries of the Federal Representative districts to ensure that the Democrats can win the majority of house seats in Pennsylvania. The supreme court does not have the authority to change boundaries. This function, according to the Pennsylvania Constitution is reserved for the legislature.

This came after the same democratic controlled court ruled only 2 weeks before the beginning of the primary season that the present boundaries gave republicans an advantage. They ordered them to redraw the lines, which they did, but not to the the liking of the court, which then made the changes themselves. This is a gross overreach by the court, and impeachment proceedings should be commenced against these judges.

Pennsylvania apportionment is spelled out in the Constitution, it was reformed in 1968. It is based on the U.S. census which is taken every 10 years. There is then a commission formed made up of 4 members from each party and a chairmen. There duty then is to draw lines with the required number of citizens in each district. They are required to try to keep counties as intact as possible. They then publish their results and if there any complaints they are sent to the supreme court to decide. When all are satisfied and all disputes decided then the boundaries become law for 10 years. This was all accomplished in 2011 and is law until 2021.

After the 2020 census these rules will be up for negotiation. But to hell with the law and the rules, they want to make the changes now.

The democrats have decided that they want to retake the U.S. House of Representatives with the expressed idea of impeaching President Trump and  they are engaging in the most outrageous attempts to subvert state constitutions anywhere they have a democratic controlled court. These fights are going on in many states.

They continue to attempt to overturn the election of 2016. They give no thought as to how they are destroying any confidence in the electoral process and the rule of law. The pursuit of political power and advantage is all that matters.

Do they really think about the consequences if they are successful. They will only have the option to rule with dictatorial power as all confidence in the rule of law will have been destroyed. It will then become just a raw and possibly violent power struggle that may destroy all that we have been successful in preserving these many years.

  1. If you can look at that map and not think the Republicans were trying to rig elections...you must be a Northern Lehigh Bulldog. Coach Mitchell taught all of us about gerrymandering in 10th grade government.

  2. While you are correct there may have been gerrymandering. The point is that the Pa. constitution give the authority for drawing districts to the legislature. The Pa. supreme court does not have the right to override the Constitution. There is a bi-partisan commission that draws the lines, if it is not working, amend the constitution to fix it.
