Finally, Trump rally in Lehigh Valley

HEAVY TURNOUT IN SUPPORT OF PRESIDENT TRUMP

AMAZING JOB BY EVENT CREWS

Yesterday we witnessed the first appearance of Donald Trump to the Lehigh Valley. Even with rain and drizzle it was a huge turnout in support of the President. The decision to come to the Lehigh valley was made hardly a week before the event. Gloria Lee Snover, Northampton county Republican  chair, has been lobbying for this event for 5 years. It finally happened after she did an interview with the Washington Times were she complained that Northampton county worked tirelessly for Trump and felt ignored by his campaign. Someone close to Trump heard the report and finally the decision was made to come to Northampton county. Some in the campaign felt that Northampton county, under the highly effective leadership of Snover, was doing OK without a visit from the President. It was a good move by the campaign to make this visit to the Lehigh Valley.

I got to the Unclaimed freight parking lot just before 8 AM. the lot was already filled and was told that there were 4 more lots in the area and supporters were being shuttled by bus to the event. I decided to park in a field right next to Unclaimed freight. The buses loaded and unloaded quickly and the event area was already overflowing when we arrived.

Line waiting to go through security

We entered the area of the event just before 11 AM start to the event. A very happy, positive group of people made the wait very comfortable.

I'll leave the estimating of the size of the crowd to others but it was in the thousands for sure and also exceeded the 750 recommended by Wolf. Masks were worn by everyone both at the event and on the buses. These people all came here to encourage and let Trump know they are behind him and support him and thank him for putting their hopes into action.

This event was not allowed at the airport or any other public space and was not chosen and finalized until midnight on Friday the 23rd. It is an amazing feat for these event specialists to bring in all the bleachers, the stage, the Jumbo screens, all the tents, fences, speakers, sound equipment and  lighting and have everything work flawlessly in 48 hours. Hats off to Hanover township and the Pennsylvania state police for a great job of traffic control. It was truly a job well done.
