Black mailer Avenatti convicted.

EXTORTION IS EXTORTION WITH NIKE, WITH TRUMP IT IS A CAMPAIGN FINANCE VIOLATION.

Michael Avenatti has been convicted of attempting to extort $25 million from NIKE. He of course is remembered for his daily time on CNN criticizing President Trump, promising to help force him from office. All the while he was just as guilty of extorting Trump, when in the last days before the election in 2016, he threatened Trump with releasing information about his claimed relationship with a porn star. Trump's lawyer was told to take care of the matter and he paid Avenatti $140,000 to go away. A not unusual practice in business these days.

When Trump actually won the election, Avenatti wanted to renegotiate, feeling he could have extorted more. When told to get lost, he called CNN and became their daily featured guest for near a year. Avenatti thought he was now loved by all and considered running for President, promising to defeat Trump.

Classic case of a user being used. He was not loved, just a useful tool by all those who wanted to damage Trump. I am surprised that this whole affair has not been claimed to be payback by Trump. Hey CNN and democrats, are you missing something here. 

Avenatti has also been charged in other jurisdictions with embezzlement and not paying clients in other extortion settlements. He will unlikely ever be allowed to practice law in the future. It will be interesting to see if gets more time than Paul Manafort.

The Media and the Democrats tried to convince the world that Trump committed crimes by paying off Avenatti. They claimed Trump was the guilty party, most claiming it was a campaign finance violation because the public was not allowed to hear about the alleged affair. Trump always denied there was such an affair, but he was ruled guilty by all, and they are continuing to repeat the accusations as if it was a fact, willing to accept only the word of Avenatti and his porn star client.

Avenatti reemerged when he found 3 clients who claimed they had been assaulted by supreme court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh. Their claims fell apart quickly and Avenatti walked without any scrutiny. One has to wonder if he is a friend of Adam Schiff.

Maybe Avenatti will use his talents to put pressure on those media and politicians who encouraged him in the Trump affair. Did any of them pay him for his accusations?  He better be careful or will get Epsteined. 

So, just the end of one disgusting episode in modern American journalism. It is very likely there is more to come.
