Schumer's supreme court hysteria

SENATE LEADER THREATENS JUSTICES WITH WHAT?

OVERREACTION TO UPCOMING COURT DECISION

Democrat senate leader Chuck Schumer stood on the steps of the supreme court and singled out  associate justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch with threats, that while not clear, were way out of line with the reality of the upcoming decision.

First there are 9 justices on the court, why single out just these two. They cannot influence the other 7 to vote with them.

Secondly, this decision has little to do with whether abortion will remain legal in this country. This debate is about whether there should be some standards for care associated with a serious medical procedure.

The lower court has already ruled that a Louisiana law that states that abortion providers should have admitting rights with a hospital within 30 miles of their abortion clinic. This would be an agreement between the clinics and a major hospital to accept patients if complications should arise. 30 miles could translate into within an hour drive. When we consider that some of these women may be minors, there without the consent of their parents, is it really out of line to have some assurance that they will receive all the care necessary.

It just seems that this a fight that will make abortion supporters look insensitive to the well being of young women. Is this really the place to take a stand? It seems way out of proportion to the case before the court. Is abortion such sacred right of the left that there can be no standard of care? No interest in the health of young Women? Or are they all just a sacrifice on the alter of their beliefs that cannot be questioned.

While they continue to claim that there is a constitutional right to unlimited abortion. It is just not true. Abortion was never written anywhere in the constitution or the bill of rights. If they want this to be an unquestionable right we have a process to amend the Constitution and make it the unquestionable law of the land.

Instead, those supporters of abortion wanted a quick and easy remedy to their cause and got it with the Rowe vs Wade ruling by the supreme court. Like many issues, these fights should have remained in the states to decide. Some would have made it legal, some not. While this ruling was the easy approach, it has resulted in political warfare for the last 50 years and distorted and divided Federal politics. It is obvious that it was an overreach by the court, if it was not an overreach there would be acceptance by the country on this issue.

So back to Schumer, while the abortion supporters may view his antics as a heroic gesture. It is really just a cynical attempt to rouse democrats to vote to make him the Senate Leader after the next election. Do they really believe Shumer really cares about abortion? He has gone as far as to suggest justices who vote against them should be impeached. He better stop with the impeachment threats, or like the me-too movement it may be prowling around some democrat doors.
