Turkey's Erdogan is running out of friends.

ERDOGAN'S FOREIGN POLICY FALLING APART

THREATS HAVE ISOLATED HIM FROM THOSE WHO CAN HELP HIM

Recep Erdogan is meeting today with Vladimir Putin in Moscow. It is expected to be a humbling experience. He is not going to persuade Russia to stop eliminating his proxy forces in Syria's Idlib province. It is expected to be nicely told to back off,and let Syria take control of their country.

Erdogan has been attempting to play Russia and the U.S. against each other. First he decided to buy Russian air defense weapons, rather than U.S. weapons. Then he threatened Syria and Russia with an invasion of Syria if they did not stop their assault on Idlib. They ignored his threats.

He then asked the Trump administration for patriot missiles to defend against Russian air attacks if he should invade Syria. It was rumored he was told told to use his Russian made missiles.

His next approach was to ask NATO to defend him with an article 5 declaration. He is the aggressor and no one has attacked him.

He has now threatened to allow millions of Syrian refuges to cross into Europe via Greece. The Greeks have fortified their border with the support of the EU. He may have run out of threats, now is the time to ask for help with his refuge problem.

Turkey is the host of near 4 million refuges, it is a serious problem for their country. The International community should help Turkey with this problem until Syria is stabilized so these refuges can go home. Threats to all concerned will not work.

Erdogan needs to accept that Assad is going to remain in power in Syria. He was told long ago to get his proxies out of harms way, but he wants to keep them there to support a Turkish supported Islamic government. He really has no allies to help him accomplish this goal.

It will be hard to accept, but he does not have popular support at home for a war with Russia and Syria. His troops in Libya are also taking losses. It is only a matter of time until reality puts Erdogan into his rightful place in history.
