BIDEN STILL BELIEVES HIS THREATS ARE GOING TO SOLVE PROBLEMS
IT REQUIRES POLICY AND COOPERATION
Yesterday, Biden proclaimed that the reason we have high energy prices, is because oil companies are making big profits. What is a big profit? Compared to what? As an example, Exon Mobile had a profit of over $5 billion, sounds like a lot, but they have assets or one could say investments of $340 billion. That is a return on investment of 1.5 % hardly an excess profit. It is all just a lot of bull shit political talk or are they intentionally demonizing oil companies to hope to gain public support to take control of the oil production.
Our current crop of political leaders have no qualms about blaming their shortcomings on others, this is just one example. From his first day in office Biden has intentionally targeted oil companies, both to diminish the use of fossil fuels and also to use his power to damage companies who represent some political opposition. Just another disgusting abuse of power.
No real effort to increase production. No reexamination of his policy or his advisers. Just threaten and bluster, both domestically and on the world stage. The most serious signs of his lack of understanding of economics. This president is doing damage to this country that will be difficult to reverse.
It is just over 20 months since this administration took office. It is sad to watch as they campaign on their accomplishments, all of which have to do with spending enormous sums of money, without any hope of a return in the future. Literally squandering the economic future of the country.
In foreign policy we have seen in this short time going from a period of decreasing peril to a serious threat of nuclear war and increasing tension worldwide. Of course, it is the fault of others.
While incompetence or lack of knowledge and thinking could be blamed on these failures, it is becoming more evident, it is actually all intentional. Just chance or a roll of the dice should result in at least a 50% rather than a zero.
