Impeachment trial may be over tomorrow

NO NEW WITNESSES LIKELY 

EXPECT LAST MINUTE "BOMBSHELL" FROM DEMOCRATS

Today is the last day of,"question and answer", it will be followed tomorrow by four hours of debate on calling more witnesses. The democrats have a list of desired witnesses, but are unwilling for the defense to call anyone as their witnesses because they claim they are irrelevant. If it is agreed to not call witnesses it will be followed on a vote to acquit or be found guilty.  As there is no chance of getting 67 votes to remove from office this affair will finally come to a close. Then we can expect the next Democratic and media hysteria to begin. This will continue until the November election.

This whole impeachment fiasco never had any hope of actually removing Trump from office, just give the opposition lots of talking points and sound bites for the upcoming election. The whole thing was just a desperate, last chance attempt at either removing or forcing Trump from office.

The charges were actually "Chicken shit" and after looking at it longer and under a magnifying glass, it still remains, "Chicken shit", just a little darker and more smelly.

It is interesting how the media and Democrats can be so hypocritical that they can call a Dossier compiled by British and Russian sources, paid for in Millions of dollars by the Democratic National committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign as legitimate opposition research and perfectly OK,  but Trump asking a Ukrainian President to look into millions of dollars of payments from a corrupt Ukrainian company to the son of a U.S. Vice president as an impeachable offense. 

If that were not all, then push this dossier through the Obama FBI, CIA and State Department as a reason to investigate a president and imprison anyone they could entrap in the process. These facts are not lost on the Republican senators, even if some do not like Trump or his policies. 

While there of course will be debate on how Trump got away with all kind of unethical conduct, it is in the best interest of the country to move on to the next election. They can use all the power that they have, and it is considerable, to convince the American public that Trump has to go and that the country will be far better off with Democratic rulers. 

Some Democrats think impeachment is only hope of getting rid of Trump.

MUELLER  MUCH LIKE THE WIZARD OF OZ

OBVIOUSLY MUELLER WAS ONLY A FIGUREHEAD

As time goes on we see that much of government is run by career bureaucrats. We see this in our foreign policy which has been managed and manipulated by non-elected people for decades. We see this on trade, which has been formed by bureaucrats who often have a political agenda. This is not to disparage many well informed and talented people in government, but we have elections to keep America a dynamic and responsive government.

Bureaucracies seem to get into a rut of continuing to do the same thing even when it is not working. We see this in education and in most of government. Yes, sometime if it is not broke it should not be fixed, but lets face it,  much needs to improved and changed in an continually changing world.

The resistance to the changes that Trump has tried to make has been a continual fight even when it is clear that changes need to be made. It is clear that the accusations and resistance to Trump is rooted in that bureaucracy that is a self perpetuating and self protecting entity.

After watching Mueller's testimony it is clear that Robert Mueller was the captain of this ship, but rarely got out of his wardroom. It appears he allowed others to select his team,  that he deferred to his team to make decisions, write up indictments and his final report. It appears to all be a product of a self perpetuating bureaucracy. The goal of this whole investigation has been to destroy Trump, either to force him to resign, or possibly impeach and remove him from office. 

All to protect the bureaucracy from being reformed or changed.

So, after watching the hearing, it appears the Democrats had an orchestrated plan to coax Mueller to give them ammo for their impeachment inquiry. They will undoubtedly have numerous clips and sound bites to justify their plan.

Many Democrats know the truth concerning this whole investigation and would like to just use it as a tool to win the next election. Their less informed, inexperienced or more rabid haters of Trump want to impeach him and humiliate him.

It would be interesting to see a vote on impeachment in the house. The Democrats have the votes to do it. It would also be very interesting to see a trial in the Senate. A trial where Trump would have a defense team and the ability to subpoena and question witnesses on national TV. It would be the reality show of the century and could you see the list of those who would be called to answer under oath on national TV. 

While I sincerely believe that it would be a disaster for the Democrats, I also believe it would rip the country apart even more than it now is. 

This whole saga is not over, I would predict it is just the first or second act and the climax may be a year away.

TRUMP'S UKRAINE ACTIONS, NOT ILLEGAL, NOT HIGH CRIMES

SAME DEMOCRAT STRATEGY AS THE KAVANAUGH HEARINGS

The volume of accusations, the daily dropping of revelations from unnamed anonymous sources does not change the facts of this impeachment. It is all strategy to lure the defense into addressing the accusations rather than the facts of this whole fiasco.

1 The facts are, that the President had every right to delay transferring aid to the Ukraine. It did need to be transferred by September 30, unless congress agreed to a delay. it was transferred on September 11.

2. The President had every right to recall the ambassador for any reason or no reason at all. He could have fired all the sitting Ambassadors and replace them if he desired. 

3. The President had not only a right but a responsibility to insure that foreign aid is not squandered, siphoned off by political corruption or as it is becoming clear, insuring kickbacks are not being paid to those who help arrange for such aid.

4. Speculation as to motives is just that, speculation and assumptions are not facts.

5. The Biden's have engaged in corrupt practices in the Ukraine, maybe not illegal by present law, but corrupt nonetheless. I suspect that there is a lot of exchanges, like the Burmisa affair, with relatives of politicians in both parties. There should be a special council to investigate all possible siphoning of U.S. aid back to those who help to win such aid. 

6. Being a candidate for President does not give you a blanket immunity from investigation. That certainly has not been the case with other former candidates and certainly not President Trump.

We can expect daily leaks and accusations from unnamed anonymous sources and possibly even some other revelations. This will continue as long as this trial continues. Senators need to not debate anything other than the law.

TURKEY'S HIGH RISK INTERVENTION IN LIBYA

While the media has been obsessed with impeachment there are things happening that they seem to ignore, either intentionally or they just don't think it is important.

1. Benjamin Netanayhu and Benny Gantz are coming to Washington this week for the unveiling of the Trump administrations, "Middle east Peace Plan". The opposing leaders are expected to face off in the upcoming Mar. 2, 2020 election in Israel. Gantz originally opposed the unveiling of this plan before the election, feeling it would give Netanayhu an advantage. It seems they have agreed to both come and get equal time at the presentation on January 28.

2. Turkey's intervention in Libya and the peace talks in Moscow and Berlin have not yet settled the divisions in Libya. The talks in Berlin seem to have not resulted in any positive developments. Turkey is continuing to attempt to make it a player on the international stage. While they have cooperated with those parties working on a solution in Syria, their intervention in Libya may be a move that damages their standing in the long run. They are in opposition to groups supported by France and Russia. Turkey could become the focus of all the opposing factions in Libya.

The predictions of the Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi son of former leader Muammar Gaddafi  who warned the western powers that their support of regime change in Libya would result in tribal warfare that would not easily be brought back under control. Gaddafi had moved to mend his ways, but was still targeted for regime change. The country has now descended into many waring factions including Al Qaeda types fighting for power.

This is just a few of the events being ignored by the mainstream media.

ESTABLISHMENT DEMOCRATS TAKE AIM AT BERNIE SANDERS

WATCH, AS THEY ATTEMPT TO RIG THE PRIMARY AGAIN

This past week we have begun to witness the Democrat establishment begin their hoped take down of Bernie Sanders. We saw Elizabeth Warren claim that Sanders told her in private conversations that he doubted a women could be elected. We then saw a moderator for CNN intervene in a debate and claim the accusation was true. This is just 1 of the visible signs of the parties concerns that Sanders can win their party's nomination.

After being the Democrats biggest fund raiser, 34 million in the last quarter, and even having survived a mild heart attack he has proved again that he can out campaign any of the other present candidates. What Sanders has that the others do not is a steady and consistent message, not formed by the latest poll testing. He also is the only democratic candidate with an actual following of dedicated supporters. Sanders appears to be the only honest candidate among the democrats. I believe he believes in what he campaigns on and would likely strive to put his promises into place if elected president. I personally do not support most of his ideas, but you have to give him credit for his performance.

Hillary has recently weighed in and claimed that nobody likes Bernie, she should know about such things. Remember a lot of people don't particularly like Donald Trump, but he is now president. Not all of the American electorate votes for who they like best. Jimmy Carter may have been the most liked President in recent memory, but he was voted out after one term.

Most voters are extremely turned off by the usual Bullshit that politicians campaign on and as soon as elected forget it all. That is why Trump has been able to hold his base so strongly, he has either accomplished or attempted to accomplish all his campaign promises. That is why he is so hated by the bureaucracy.

Warren seems to say or promise whatever she thinks will be a winning message at least one week at a time.

Biden is the ultimate deep state faker, who will be a figure head president who will allow the bureaucracy to set policy and set the course. 

Bloomberg can spend all his 50 billion and cannot win a Democrat primary.

So, expect to see an escalation of the war to bring down Bernie, it may just back fire just as it did when the establishment tried to take down Trump. Once motivated there will be no limits, they will be giving Biden the Questions for the debates, enlisting their allies in the media, priming the super delegates for the convention or whatever it takes to push or pull Joe Biden to the nomination.

REASONS FOR IMPEACHMENT GROWING BY THE DAY

"TRUMP MUST BE IMPEACHED BECAUSE HE WILL CHEAT IN NEXT ELECTION", ADAM SCHIFF

The first day of the prosecutions case has already drifted from the articles of impeachment voted on by the House to add;

1. National security, Ukraine is the only thing standing between Europe and the United States  and Russian aggression. Trump delaying of aid made us all vulnerable to Russian attack.

2. Trump will cheat in the 2020 election, just like he did in the 2016 election. We need to remove him before he commits any more cheating.

3. If Trump survives this impeachment trial he will not have any restraint in his abuse of power. We need to take preemptive action.

4. We cannot depend on the voters to decide if they want Trump to be president. This is because Trump will cheat and the election will be illegitimate.

This was just the first day, it will be interesting to see how desperate it will get.

Many complaints by the media and Democrats that Senators are getting up, walking about, leaving the room, and at one time there were 21 senators missing. We must remember many of the Senators are senior citizens, they may have circulation problems, sitting too long could lead to thrombosis or worse problems. Many are also men, who at their age may have prostate problems which may require frequent trips to the men's room. Also you can bet, that getting up and stretching a little could forestall falling asleep. It may be better to have 21 missing Senators, than 21 sleeping Senators.

Lets see how many can endure 6 more days of this. Senators will be unlikely to vote to extend this any longer, as their very survival may be at stake.

It is becoming clear that this whole impeachment fiasco is to accomplish 2 things.

1. Damage Trump, because they know that their candidates are not up to beating him.

2. Cover-up the corruption engaged in by the Bidens and possibly others in the Ukraine.

Only 16 hours more to go, then you can expect a rebuttal, unlikely to take 24 hours, then 16 hours of questions, that should be entertaining.

Democratic requests would take months to review.

NETFLIX VIEWING TO SOAR

WOULD USE TRIAL AS AN EXPANDED FISHING EXPEDITION

48 HOURS OF PROSECUTION AND DEFENSE WILL BE MIND NUMBING

Get ready for the most boring and nauseating week ahead. While I did not watch all the proceedings setting the rules for the impeachment trial, 13 hours of debate, what I did see was just a rehash of what we have been hearing for the last 4 months. Actually from what was presented yesterday, what more can they have to say?

I suppose it is all about using this viewing time to persuade a few voters that their cause is just and in the best interest of the country. If all the information in their requested amendments were actually allowed, it is unlikely that this trial would be over before the election in November. Is this really the hope, that they can keep this in front of the public as long as possible as a sort of negative campaign?

It would have been much better if they would have allowed each side about 6 hours to present their side. It would have been in the best interest of the country to encourage them to not be repetitive, not to be over the top in all their claims and defense. Get to the point please! Maybe then people would actually tune in and get to see and hear what they have to say. 

I would expect the Democrats will use every minute of their time, even if they have to repeat the same information numerous times. It could be that the defense will use one 8 hour day to present their defense. Any more than that will just encourage people to tune out.

Thankfully we have more options today than ever, we can tune in to NETFLIX or some other movie channel or who knows, it could be an opportunity to spend some quality time with friends or family.

Trump delivers positive message in Davos

TRUMP GIVES WORLD ECONOMIC LEADERS BLUEPRINT FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH

DENOUNCES SOCIALISM

At 5.30 A.M. eastern time President Trump gave the keynote address to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. It was a very positive address extolling the advantages of a free market system that stresses the well-being of workers. 

He started by touting all the economic accomplishments in the United States. Listing all the usual statistics that have shown a growing economy with growing wages for all Americans. He explained that all these positive results have been accomplished by economic fiscal reforms of lower taxes, less regulation and focusing on jobs and an expanding middle class.

He praised the history and culture of Europe and pointed out particular accomplishments in Italy and France. He recommended that all countries put the well being of their citizens and workers first and the rest will fall into place.

He remembered the pessimistic prophesies of the past, including the predictions of mass starvation, a new ice age and similar forecasts in the 70,s 80's and 90's. 

He encouraged all to be more optimistic and claimed that a world of a free and entrepreneur minded people will have the courage and technological resources to solve any problems that the world may face.

The President has continued to council and meet with world leaders in Davos.

Impeachment defense strategy takes shape.

SENATE DOES NOT WANT TO SET PRECEDENT OF ENCOURAGING FRIVOLOUS IMPEACHMENTS

NO HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS

Now that the House has finally sent their impeachment complaint to the Senate, we are seeing indications as to how the defense will respond.

It is being made clear by many Senate leaders that they do not want to set a precedent of impeachment becoming a routine political weapon in the future. Many view the vague nature of the articles as a partisan attempt to negatively taint a sitting president to influence the coming election. It is very likely that they will  resist treating this present impeachment as a serious constitutional remedy. 

We will likely see this play out by letting the House managers make their case for impeachment. Then there will be a lesson by Professor Dershowitz concerning the definition of a high crime or misdemeanor. What was the purpose of impeachment and that it was never to be considered by a partisan vote in the House. We will see much of the history of impeachment and why in over 240 years no president has yet been removed from office.

Then we will see the defense team dissect the process engaged in by the House leaders. We will hear their defense that all actions concerning the Ukraine are legal and established by precedent of all past presidents. I would expect it will be thorough and convincing. It is the first time in this whole process that the president will get a serious defense of this whole affair.

Finally you can expect that there will be a motion for a vote. It is hopeful that it will be affirmed and this dirty bug will be squashed on the Senate floor. It is essential to set the precedence of discouraging the bringing of frivolous partisan impeachments to the Senate. This result would truly be a defense of the constitution and democratic process.

Of course, we will hear the usual weeping and gnashing of teeth by the democrats and the media. They will scream cover-up and pre-judgment by the Senate. 

There will likely be no witnesses called and any more action in the Senate would give this partisan process more seriousness than it deserves.

It will be great that the 100 Senators will not be allowed to speak, they will have to submit their questions in writing. We can be thankful that we will be spared any grandstanding by Senators with empty long winded show oratory. It is in the best interests of the country, the candidates for president on both sides, and the future of the presidency that we put this fiasco behind us and allow the voters to decide in November 2020.

Iraqi parliament votes to expel all foreign troops

The media seems to focus on only those issues that they feel should be important. They often do not tell the whole story in their reporting and often do not tell the story at all. Much of these omissions are is in the foreign affairs area, but sometimes it is even right here at home. I thought maybe it would be a good idea to summarize some of these forgotten stories on Saturdays, maybe it will be of interest to some.

What has not been widely reported that the vote in the Iraqi parliament to ask for the withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq was boycotted by the Sunni Arabs and the Kurds. The vote was cast predominately by Shia Iraqis who are favorable to Iran. There were barely enough present to form a quorum.

Syrian forces assisted by Russian air power have been battling the last refuge of ISIS and AL Quada in Syria's Idlib province. Thousands of refugees are being temporarily housed in the Turkish safe zone in Northern Syria. This is all part of the plan to guarantee the borders of Syria and eliminate all foreign forces from the country. The expected genocide of the Syrian Kurd's has not become a reality and their is still hope that after the reestablishment of Syria they will be afforded some autonomy and rights as part of Syria. A new Syrian constitution is also part of the plan.

Turkey has sent troops to Libya in an effort to stabilize the country. There was a meeting in Moscow with all the factions of Libya attending, they did not yet come to a consensus.

The members of the Russian government have resigned. There is to be a reorganization with more power placed on the parliament. There are expected to be amendments to their constitution. The details of what this all means are not clear, but I am sure it will be of some consequence to the rest of the world.

Second amendment sanctuary counties and municipalities are spreading across the country. Their purpose is to refuse to obey any Federal and State laws deemed to be unconstitutional.

I am sure there are more such things going on that are not reported, we will attempt to make note of them in the future.

Expect daily revelations about Ukraine.

REPEAT OF KAVANAUGH STRATEGY LIKELY

REAL ISSUE IS UKRAINE /US CORRUPTION

Now that the House has finally sent the impeachment articles to the Senate, we can expect to see the next act of this political drama. In fact it began last night with new revelations about knowledge of everyone in the administration about wanting Ukraine to look into corruption in the Ukraine, much of which involved US aid dollars.

A few days earlier we heard that a US based company claims the Russians hacked Burisma, the Ukrainian company involved in much of the corrupt practices in the Ukraine. It looks again like an attempted inoculation of the Biden's payoffs from Ukraine. We can now expect any revelations of the Biden's and Ukraine will be labeled Russian disinformation.

The Democrats are now targeting Vice-President Pence and Attorney general Barr. Does Nancy and Adam really want to remove them all and take over the government?

The trial in the Senate is expected to begin next week and the Democrats are clamoring for more witnesses of their choice. The Republicans are threatening to call the whistle-blower, Hunter Biden, ex Ukrainian officials and Adam Schiff himself. It is unlikely that there will be a dive into the new witness dark pool as this could lead to a trial of months and not weeks. 

One must wonder if the Democratic establishment would like just that, as it would take the top contenders against Joe Biden, in effect, out of the presidential race. Both Warren and Sanders are running a grass roots, in person, on the ground campaign. If they would be held in Washington for a few months they could not compete against those who can campaign and those who will be spending 100's of millions in advertising. 

It is likely that Republicans and some Democrats will concede to the no new witness approach. The media and those who would like to rig the Democratic primary will scream until the next election that the Senate republicans covered up the whole mess.

So, we can expect to see daily revelations from the media and Democrats up until the actual vote in the Senate. We could even expect to see them threaten new articles of impeachment.

What no one wants to talk about is the real corruption concerning the Biden's, and we could imagine others, concerning kick-backs and pay-offs in the Ukraine and other places. The Senate judiciary committee is expected  to take up these matters after impeachment concludes.

The House Democrats have yet to even claim that any laws have been broken by the Trump administration, they claim that their behavior is enough to warrant removal from office.
