Democrats vote to protect Iran

SOLEIMANI WAS CONTINUOUS THREAT 

THIS HOUSE WILL NEVER APPROVE ANY ACTION BY TRUMP

The new talking point is that the President has overstepped his authority by not consulting with congress for approval of an action against Qassen Soliemani. They also ask why has this action taken place now? Is it not enough that Iranian backed players attacked our base in Syria. Is it not enough that they then attacked our embassy? It is impossible to get approval to engage in operations of opportunity?

We must understand that many opportunities are very fleeting and may not re-appear for years. The Clinton Administration had an opportunity to take out Osama Ben Lauden in the late 1990's. They decided against the plan and it took 15 years for another opportunity, that was approved by Barack Obama. That action was hailed as a great victory, even when it was conducted in the country of a sovereign nation, without its permission, without permission of  Congress.

This was an opportunity that needed to be acted on in hours, not days and weeks, it was the right decision.

Their other talking point is that their is no plan or strategy concerning Iran. There is a very clear strategy concerning Iran. THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO OBTAIN NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

The whole plan of sanctions is to weaken Iran to the point that they will negotiate their quest for nuclear weapons. That they stop spreading cahous and revolution through the middle east by supplying missiles and arms to their proxies. Soliemani was in charge of these operations. This seems to be very clear.

As the sanctions have become more effective, Iran has engaged in military action against Israel, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and the United States as well as international shipping, all in an effort to ease the pressure on their economy. After being patient for some time their actions have now been answered. The first actor to cry uncle is the Democratically controlled house of representatives.

It appears they are more concerned that there could be a victory by this president that will have negative effects on their quest for power. Their quest for power takes precedent over every other consideration. 

Their Democrats plan that would have expired in 5 more years, would have enabled Iran to legally acquire nuclear weapons, many hoped that their behavior in that time would have changed. It did not. Their actions now will undermine the efforts of this administration to bring Iran to the bargaining table. It may very well result in Iran becoming a nuclear power. What will their plan then be? It is better to address the behavior of Iran, at any cost, now, before they become a nuclear power.

There will be a conclusion to this Iran conflict sooner or later.

It is very likely that the first use of nuclear weapons, since WW2, will be by either Iran to destroy Israel, or Israel when they perceive that Iran has obtained or is about to obtain a nuclear weapon.
