Iran admits to have shot down Ukrainian flight 752, but insists it was an accident caused by human error. There are several facts that bring into question that this was an accident.

1. President Rouhani stated, the day before the shoot down, that he had the number 290 in mind referring to the Iranian flight 655 that was shot down by a U.S. warship on July 3. 1988. This was in response to Trump's statement that the U.S. had 52 targets ready to attack if necessary. The Iranian plane was mistaken for an F-15 and was moving directly toward the ship. It did not answer several attempts to communicate with it.

2. There were numerous flights in and out of the Khomeni International airport both before and after the Ukrainian flight, none of them were attacked.

3. This shoot down occurred 4 hours after Iran had attacked the U.S. bases in Iraq which is west of this Airport. The U.S. had already declared that there were no casualties and a response was not likely.

4. Iran claims this aircraft was mistaken for an incoming cruise missile. This plane was destined for Kiev, Ukraine and was outgoing and traveling Northwest out of Iran. It transponders were working and there was not attempt at contact. Cruise missiles travel at approximately 500 mph. This jet was traveling at 310 mph and climbing.

Interesting this flight had 176 passengers and crew. 130 were Iranian, 60 were duel Canadian and Iranian citizens.138 were ultimately destined for Canada. Were any of these passengers of particular interest to Government of Iran?
