Long range weapons to Ukraine will accelerate their destruction.

 NATO LONG RANGE WEAPONS WILL HASTEN UKRAINES DESTRUCTION

RUSSIA WILL NOW TARGET MORE INFRASTRUCTURE 

The escalation of giving Ukraine weapons to target Russian infrastructure will only damage Ukraine further. Objectively, Russia has been restrained in its actions concerning Ukraine. While this conflict has been portrayed as all out war, it has really not been the case. Most of the destruction and fighting has been concentrated in the Russian speaking eastern part of the country. Many areas have not been targeted, most of the targets have been military supply or infrastructure. 

With the recent attacks on oil refineries in Russia, Russia has now targeted electric generation in much of Ukraine. They may very well continue until most of Ukraine is without electrical power. They haven't as yet taken out the railroad and highway bridges over the Dnieper river. In fact, they have often waited until equipment is near eastern Ukraine before attacking it. They have not taken out the government buildings or even the leadership in Kiev. Many of these decisions have to do with preserving the cultural heritage of the region and not destroying historical and cultural icons. Long range weapons against Russia, may very well change this into a scorched earth policy that will completely destroy the infrastructure of Ukraine, not only in the east but all the way to the Polish border.

Hotels that are  housing foreign troops from NATO countries will now be consistently targeted. Restraint by Russia has been voiced and advertised as weakness or an inability to take out the Ukrainian infrastructure. I expect that use of weapons to target the Russian homeland will now put much of that opinion to rest.
