HELP LOCAL BUSINESS, SPEND THAT WINDFALL
THE PURPOSE IS TO GET THE ECONOMY MOVING AGAIN
While I am sure there are some who may need the recent stimulus check to make ends meet, whether for rent, groceries or other expenses, many do not. Some are still working and have not experienced a reduction of their income. Many seniors have not had any reduction in their income. In fact some people are experiencing having more money left each week because of their inability to dine out.
The people most affected by this Virus economy are small business, the restaurant business in particular. Waitresses and waiters are likely not working at all. Many construction business's have been idle. Many of lawn and garden shops have been closed.
We should not forget that many large stores may very well not survive this crisis. Many of the big retailers at the malls have already filed for bankruptcy.
I see that the stores that have been open, home improvement, hardware stores, butcher shops are doing more business than before. This is great, that they have been able to do well in a tough environment.
Now, as more businesses are allowed to open, it is time to put that stimulus check to use. I for one will think of what I can do help support those businesses who are coming back online. The sooner we get money circulating the better for us all.
Remember, it is called a stimulus check and it was sent to us all in the hope that we would spend it and help the economy recover as soon as possible. It is a win, win for everyone. How often does that happen?
